Oppo has pulled out all the stops with their new flagship smartphone, the Find X7 Ultra. This maxed-out device packs top-of-the-line specs and features into a premium design intended to compete with the best phones on the market.
Display and Design
The Find X7 Ultra has a massive 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1440 x 3168 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The screen is protected by Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The phone itself has a glass front and back with an aluminum frame. It’s a big device at 9.5mm thick and weighing 221 grams, but it has an impressively high 90.3% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is also IP68 dust/water resistant.
Performance
Powering the Find X7 Ultra is Qualcomm’s brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset built on a 4nm process. This octa-core chip is paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Oppo has included advanced cooling to keep thermals in check. Early benchmarks show the Find X7 Ultra scoring over 1.9 million on AnTuTu.
Cameras
The camera setup is one of the key highlights, featuring a quad-camera system co-developed with legendary camera maker Hasselblad. The main camera uses a huge 1.0-inch 50MP sensor with OIS and laser autofocus. There are two telephoto cameras – a 50MP camera with 2.8x optical zoom and OIS, and a 50MP periscope zoom camera with 6x optical zoom and OIS. The ultrawide camera is another 50MP shooter. Oppo has included all the latest camera features like multi-directional PDAF, 10-bit video, Dolby Vision video, and more.
